Zackery Turner, 18, from Charlottesville, pled guilty Thursday for killing 19-year-old Reginald “Shay” Nicholson, from Staunton. Turner pled guilty to the first-degree murder of Nicholson, as part of a plea agreement made with the Rockingham County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office and filed Wednesday in Rockingham County Circuit Court. Redskins Offer Skolnitsky Contract

HARRISONBURG, Va. — The Daily News-Record reported Sunday that the Washington Redskins and former James Madison University defensive end J.D. Skolnitsky are close to a contract agreement. Skolnitsky participated in the team’s rookie camp over the weekend and was reportedly offered a three-year, $1.2 million deal, which would take effect if he makes it through the team’s training camp.
