Housing excess leaves apartments vacant

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Several apartment complexes in Harrisonburg are not meeting maximum occupancy levels. Mike Hendrickson, operations manager at Coldwell Banker Commercial Funkhouser Realtors, said that while some of the properties the company manages are full, others are having difficulties. “When you’re talking about older complexes — that’s the problem,” Hendrickson said. “Preferences have changed so much.
