JMU women’s basketball chalked up another victory Monday at home as it defeated the Longwood 85-67, staying ranked in the national polls at No. 25. Leading the way for the Dukes (8-1) was Dawn Evans. The junior guard had a game-high 32 points. Monday marked her third consecutive game with 30 or more points, leaving her tied for 10th place on JMU’s all-time scoring list. The JMU women’s basketball team tallied its seventh straight win Sunday without star Dawn Evans. The Dukes (7-0) as they never gave the lead up to Siena (1-7) and won 85-57. JMU junior guard Evans was sidelined due to health concerns. HARRISONBURG, Va. — It was a crucial weekend for JMU women’s soccer as they headed into a must-win game against VCU on Saturday. By defeating the Rams 4-0, they broke out of a tie with George Mason and are headed to the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.
